The 4-Day workweek is hardly a novel idea. Companies across the globe have shifted to the 4-Day workweek with nearly unanimous success, accomplishing the same amount of work in 80% of the time.
At Hot Corner Digital, we’ve created our own spin on the 4-Day workweek that better aligns with our mission of doing good — we call it the Day Off 4 Good.
How Day Off 4 Good Works
Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we all had a day dedicated to helping each other?
Fridays are our “off” days, when nobody on our team is obligated to work. Instead, every member of our team is encouraged to take some time to do something “good” for their community — with community being defined as broadly or narrowly as they’d like.
We believe everyone wants to do more “good” in their communities, and we want to make sure our team is empowered to do so. Yes, it could mean taking the day to volunteer with a charitable organization; but it could also mean picking up trash on a hike, treating a spouse or friend to lunch, or surprising your kids with a trip to the zoo. As long as we’re doing something for someone else, it’s a good day.
